Survivors Give Us Hope!

The Southern Saratoga County Relay for Life is seeking cancer survivors to be our special guests at the 3rd annual event on June 2-3, 2006 to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

In a nation where more than one million people will be diagnosed with cancer this year, Southern Saratoga County wants to celebrate life and recognize those individuals who have survived cancer.

If you are a cancer survivor, you don't want to miss the Cancer Survivors' lap which opens every American Cancer Society Relay For Life!

Registered cancer survivors are treated to a light refreshments and a reception, then each survivor will walk, run, or wheelchair the opening lap, unified in victory and in hope and symbolizing the courage that survivors and their families display and sustain
in their lives! Won't you join us in this celebration?

  • Survivor registration will begin on June 2nd.

  • Survivors will receive a parking permit for special parking at the event.

  • You will receive a special Survivor T-shirt at registration (unless you are on a team and your team captain picks it up early for you).

  • Opening ceremonies start at 7 p.m.

  • All Survivors are invited to walk in the first lap of the event at 7 p.m. We will have wheelchairs for those who may need assistance. Please let us know of any special needs when you register on Friday night.

  • For the second lap, caregivers, spouses, friends, etc. are encouraged to join Survivors.

  • We hope you will stay throughout the night and enjoy the various activities planned for everyone.
